Stress

Posted: May 8, 2012 in Uncategorized

The last time I remember feeling this stressed out (I mean a cumulative, general stress level rather than being about a single thing), I ended up getting hives.

I have felt way worse over a single topic (which I am not going to get into here), but the general walls-closing, back-breaking kind of stress is something I am not very good at. It is a lot harder to change something when it feels like there are ten things piling up… and some of them are pretty monolithic.

I wonder sometimes if people like Harper and his right-wing cadre realize that every number on his little spreadsheet is an actual person. Does he lose sleep over what he is doing to people or is he a complete sociopath and just doesn’t care?

Yesterday, walking home from the bus, Ruthanne told me that there was a letter for me at home… from the Government of Canada.

I thought I was going to stop breathing.

Turns out it was my tax refund.
